Husband of missing Cohasset mother arrested for misleading police investigation

The husband of a missing Cohasset woman was taken into custody Sunday for misleading police, according to the Norfolk County District Attorneys Office.

Brian Walshe, 46, was arrested and charged with misleading a police investigation and is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday.

Ana Walshe, 39, was reported missing Wednesday by both her husband and her employer. She failed to board a flight from Boston to Washington, D.C. for work on Jan. 1 as well as a scheduled return flight on Jan. 3.

On Saturday, Cohasset Police Department and Massachusetts State Police ended an extensive ground search for Walshe, and on Sunday, police returned to Massachusetts from Washington, D.C. where they were looking for evidence or information on Walshes whereabouts.

During the course of that investigation, police developed probable cause to believe that her husband Brian Walshe had committed the crime of misleading police investigators, the DAs office said.

Brian Walshe previously pleaded guilty in 2021 to selling fake copies of Andy Warhol paintings on eBay. Police said on Friday that that case was not believed to be connected to Ana Walshes disappearance.
